BA Hons Accounting & Business

Accounting and Business skills are very valuable for companies. Our programme has been developed in close partnership with industry experts to provide you with the essential knowledge and skills to thrive in accounting and business related positions.

After this degree completion, graduates will be equipped with a solid understanding in accountancy, and other business functions as well. If you desire to become a financial manager, an accountant or even an investment broker this degree is suitable for you.

As it explores the basis of accounting activities while providing you with insights in management and business functions, this course will help you to develop your ability to run your own business considering all the financial aspects of it. It also allows you to apply theory to practice by undertaking live projects for local industry partners. Students have the opportunity to develop their own business plan as an option for your final year research project, with our industry partners contributing to your business development process.

We accept candidates who have achieved a wide range of credentials including any post- 16 qualification in the UK. Functional, Vocational and other key skills are recognised and accepted from all around the world. Please get in touch with us to discuss the specific requirements for your country.

UK & EU Students:

  • 112 – New UCAS points
  • We would normally expect you to have Grade 4 / C in GCSE English and Maths.
  • Must include passes at A2 in at least two subjects.
  • Extended Diploma or Diploma
  • Diploma with 25 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level.

International Students:

  • Access to HE Diploma (QAA approved) with 60 credits overall and 45 credits at Level 3
  • Level 2 equivalences such as Level 2 Functional Skills in English / Maths, Level 2 Key Skills in Communication / Application of Number and Level 2 Adult Literacy / Adult Numeracy
  • Overall IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking; minimum 5.5 in Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).

Tuition fees cover the cost of a student’s academic studies. This usually includes teaching costs, registration and examination fees (not repeat or tailing modules, re-sit fees or coursework resubmission). Any costs associated with work placements will be the students responsibility.

UK & EU Students:

What the application process looks like

Step 1 → Apply
Submit your application. Share a bit about yourself and what’s driving you to start a career.

Step 2 → Admissions interview
Speak with an Admissions representative in a non-technical interview. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little better. Nothing technical — just a friendly conversation.

Step 3 → Admissions decision
You’ll receive an admissions decision within a few days of completing your Admissions interview. If accepted, you’ll prepare for the first 14 days of the program, a busy and critical time. During these 14 days, you’ll complete various requirements to continue in your cohort.
