BA Hons International Business
Business is becoming truly global. The internet and instant communications mean that even small businesses can now reach an international market. To succeed in this interconnected world, you need to understand the global factors driving business today. This course explores international business and the cultural differences and diversities that it has to offer.
Go global and prepare yourself for a career in international business through this specialist degree which combines the theoretical tools and analytical skills required by successful international businesses with a global perspective.
The course will equip you with the knowledge, understanding and academic skills to pursue a career in international business, or continue to postgraduate study. You will also develop the specialist knowledge, skills and capabilities you require to respond proactively and creatively to contemporary business issues and the challenges of the global business environment.
The course is designed to equip you with a broad overview of how the commercial world operates. We aim to provide you with a detailed understanding of how businesses develop successful strategies through relevant analytical and evaluation techniques. You’ll receive a solid introduction to international business, entrepreneurship, strategic management and environmental management to help give you a firm understanding that can be applied in any sector or industry.
You’ll also look at everything from marketing and finance through to operations and information systems. We’ll also study how companies operate, looking at both small businesses and large companies.
Factors like transformational technology and globalisation mean businesses have to constantly change and adapt so they’re looking for people with the right mix of talents who can solve problems and have ideas. Often these ideas can lead on to the development of new products and services that can contribute to the future prosperity of a company.
That’s why we’ll give you the chance to pick up some very desirable skills including analysis and evaluation techniques, how to think creatively and logical decision making. They’re all important skills that can be used in any size of business and in any sector.
